Islamabad — Pakistan is only facing an iceberg tip of a psychological warfare. Much more is expected. According to Servando Gozalez the author of Psychological Warfare and the New World Order, the “ ruling elites” of the United States are focusing on intense psychological warfare to influence people and states. Pakistan is on top US priority. The ruling elites are linked with Council For Foreign Relations (CFR) specialized in foreign policy and international relations.

CFR is considered America’s most influential foreign policy think tank. Its main weapons are mind versus disseminating propaganda and mass brainwashing by disinformation, cunning, deception and lies on a large scale. These elements are just part of a series of carefully planned and executed long and short-term psychological warfare operations. The undeclared supporters of CFR include Wall Street bankers, oil magnates and CEOs of transnational corporations.

The person in charge of the psychological warfare is Daniel Markey, a senior fellow in CRF. His plan is to defame Pakistan by showing it is a weak state. His other tactics include highlighting chaos, ethnic, linguistic and regional nationalism.

In legal system, CFR follows minutely courts and judges in Pakistan and their relationship with ruling elites. In another chapter, the political polarization is highlighted and encouraged especially between civilians and the military, ethnic and provincial groups and Islamists and secularists. Other areas of interests are provincial autonomy, ethnic nationalism, Islam and the state, sectarian conflicts, disparity between regions and between rural and urban areas.

CFR recommended in one of its papers that the US administration to undertake increasingly aggressive, unilateral US military strikes against targets deep into Pakistan territory, coercive diplomacy and sanctions or a range of financial, diplomatic, and legal restrictions to control the flow of people, money, goods, and information to and from Pakistan.
