NEW DELHI, April 6 (Xinhua) -- At least 65 Indian security personnel were killed by left-wing rebels Tuesday in the central state of Chhattisgarh, according to CNN-IBN reports.
Hundreds of left-wing rebels launched the attacks at dawn in the state with automatic weapons and landmine when the security men reached the place amidst an operation, the reports said.
The rebels have stepped up attacks against the security forces in response to an military offensive against the rebels that began late last year in the region.
