Jamui (Bihar): Four persons including a forest guard Naresh Singh who were kidnapped by suspected Maoists from near Batia forest in Sono police station on April 4 have been released, police sources said on Tuesday.
Singh and the labourers - Abul Ansari, Chotu Ansari and Mumtaz Ansari - were released in Chhabadi forest in Jamui district in the wee hours today, sources said.
They have returned to their houses safely, they claimed adding an investigation was on.
The four were kidnapped when they were trying to dig earth through a JCB machine in Batia forest on April 04 by suspected naxalites.
